Certification: Ringing Techniques and Music Theory with Michele Sharik and Michael Glasgow

Registration: Registration for this course requires a completed registration and full payment of the registration fee.  Registration cost:  $425 – includes lunch each day of the event.

Complete two levels of the Handbell Techniques & Proficiency course and and three levels of the Music Theory course of Handbell Musician Certification in one weekend.  If you wish for this class to count toward Certification, you must also register for the certification program. To see a complete description of what will be covered and to register for Certification, visit the Handbell Musician Certification section of our website.  This course is limited to 20 participants to insure adequate time for individual, hands-on instruction from Ms. Sharik and Mr. Glasgow.

If registration is rejected for any reason other than lack of space, the payment will be refunded in full.  If rejected due to lack of space, the applicant will be placed on a waiting list should he/she so desire.  If the applicant chooses not to be placed on the waiting list, payment will be refunded in full.

Registrants are required to have an active Handbell Musicians of America membership. If you are uncertain of your membership status, contact the National Office or, if you don't already have a membership, join the Guild today.  

Cancellation policy:  A full refund, minus a $100 administrative charge, will be issued for cancellations made prior to December 1, 2013.  Cancellations made after December 1, 2013 will be given a full refund, minus a $100 administrative charge, if the reserved space can be filled by someone on the waiting list.  If the reserved space cannot be filled, no refund will be issued.

Optional Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra Concert:  We have secured a block of discounted tickets for the January 31, 2014, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra concert at Cincinnati's historic Music Hall.  The CSO, the 5th oldest symphony orchestra in the U.S., has built a reputation as one of the world's foremost orchestras.  Cincinnati Music Hall opened in 1878 and is a National Historic Landmark.  The elegant Springer Auditorium is acoustically acclaimed and has been home to the CSO since its founding in 1895.  

The January 31 concert is titled "Drums and Dvorak" and features percussionist Colin Currie and guest conductor Christoph Konig.  Follow this link for complete details.

For an addtional fee of $85 you will receive a ticket to the concert, bus transportation to and from Music Hall, and a light boxed dinner to enjoy on the way.  To purchase, just select the concert option during the registration process.
